  1. Both the co-admins for our group are in the same timezone and we both have day jobs. We'd like to empower some players to be able to stop/start servers when needed. I figured that could be done with a role but it seems not. My hosting provider pointed me to the following, saying "that's how we do it". * Create a sub-user then in the service permissions for that individual, check "Access this service" and Start/Stop. The trouble here is threefold. * When you check "Access to the service", it turns on all 25 other checkboxes. If Access is not checked, the rest of them mean nothing because you can't see the service at all. That means I need to manually un-check 24 of them so that only Start/Stop remains checked. * When I need to do it all again for every single instance that I want to them to be able to start/stop. And again when I add a new instance in future. * I need to ALL that again for each trusted-player that I want to empower. (or have them share a login... yeah, nah) This seems unnecessarily tedious and doesn't scale well. Is there a better way that we're overlooking?
  2. Yes, I have RDP and admin login for both Windows and TCAdmin. However, I don't have extensive knowledge of TCAdmin, nor any knowledge of how the templates are pushed down from the hosting company as that's set up and maintained by the provider. Apparently Luis has been contacted previously by the provider (deliberately not named here) on this issue as there are both Windows and TCAdmin logins in Luis' name. I'm assuming that Luis is on the TCAdmin team! I'm just about to head off to bed as it's 11pm here in eastern Australia (UTC+11 at the moment) but it would be great if I could catch up with someone at a convenient time to take a look at this. Please PM me on your discord @Trevor (trevorjd) if that's possible. Thanks.
  3. Hi folks, We lease a Windows dedi from a provider that uses TCAdmin to manage their per-slot rented services. I don't know how it works but they've installed a version of TCAdmin on our dedi too and somehow we have the ability to use their template library without being able to view or edit the templates directly as they contain their private stuff. We pay a fee to the provider to use TCAdmin and the provider gives us support when we have troubles. As per the linked image, we have a problem with game templates multiplying. When I go to create a new game service, there's more of them! But only for some games, not others. I must assume that's an unintended consequence of however they're synching their template library with ours. This has been "fixed" by various methods including a complete reinstallation of TCAdmin more than once. They're telling me again that it would be fixed by a complete reinstallation of TCAdmin. Having had this problem "fixed" three or four times already, yet it keep coming back, makes me sceptical of that claim to say the least. Can anyone help? This is absurd and frustrating. I wanted to set up another game server tonight but if we're going to reinstall TCAdmin this week, I should probably wait. Thanks
  4. Hi folks, We've just switched to a new Win2019 dedicated server. Our hosting provider has installed TCAdmin 2.0.180.0 for us. We have two physical disks. TCAdmin is installed on the C drive and TCAfiles\users is on the data drive. I've created an instance of Ark Survival and I'm trying to install mods via the Steam Workshop browser in TCAdmin. What I'm finding is that we need to delete the steamapps folder after each mod is installed, otherwise it will timeout. I did NOT run into this problem when installing mods for Conan Exiles. Our provider tech says they've encountered this before but it's not something they've been able to fix. We didn't have the problem on the box we've been using for the last 12+ months so surely it must be a config or permissions issue. Any suggestions on how we might troubleshoot this? 5. https://gist.github.com/trevorjd/3d55ca267c9d24f9d4d7223a3b3ca89b The Game, Query and RCON port values in the service match what's in the server.props. I triple checked that.
  6. Nothing interesting in the MC log. No crash log as there's no crash. It's receiving the shutdown command from TCA. 7. Hi folks, We're running TCAdmin 2.0.180.0. I've installed All the Mods 7 - To the Skies, v 1.0.7 The game runs just fine but if I have Query Monitoring enabled, TCAdmin is restarting or shutting it down. I've run up a separate instance with just a vanilla install and that is not affected; it's running fine. My service provider came back with, "Sounds like it's possibly something to do with the new versions of forge and how they query. This is not something we are really able to assist with." I have no idea how to troubleshoot this. I can't see any options in the service that specify how TCAdmin makes its queries or what kind of response it's looking for. Hopefully someone here can assist! Thanks Trev
  8. Hi folks, I've installed a game called Avorion. We have a mostly-working template but it has some quirks. TCAdmin does give me a web console and CPU/RAM but it's not picking up the hostname, nor the number of players online. I asked Battlemetrics for Avorion support and they politely told me to get knotted so the only way to determine the number of players online is to log in and see for myself. The service name is the bigger problem. I have two instances and they both have the default service name that comes from the template, "10 slot Avorion". I have to be careful to check the URL to ensure that I'm working with the correct instance. So, how does TCAdmin auto-populate the service name? How can I manually set a service name? Thanks
  9. Hi folks, we set up our server with 20 slots and later increased it to 24. After the server has been running for a few hours, the players start getting Server Full messages even if the server has plenty of free slots. It's as if it's not consistently freeing up a slot when a player leaves. We had this with A20 Experimental and still with A20 public (using Dennis' template). Both the config and Server Settings in TCAdmin are reporting the correct number of player slots. I expect this is a 7D problem but no one else is reporting "server full" in the 7D discord nor their forums so I'm grasping at straws. If anyone has any insight or suggestions, I'd appreciate it.
  10. Hi folks, Since it's the language file that controls the date format, it would be helpful if we could get alternative English language files that offer date formats in common usage outside the US. I'd be happy to roll my own but I've been unable to find a copy of the default file. Would someone point me in the right direction? Thanks
  11. Hi folks, Creating scheduled tasks is tedious and we have quite a few that I'd rather not have to duplicate manually on our second instance. Is it possible to clone tasks to another instance? If not, is it possible to manually do this with a text editor? Thanks
  12. Hi guys, I'm troubleshooting a server at the moment that's giving a mod version error and I noticed in the mods folder that there's a negatively numbered folder and matching mod.id. We've only managed mods via TCAdmin so I'm reporting it here. Unfortunately I doubt that I can give you any more useful context. From looking in the mod.id file, I can see it's a mod that we haven't used for a few months. The number is question is: -2083855787 The plaintext from the mod.id is as follows: ModName YashiFactory YashiFactory ModType 1 GameModBaseAsset TODO PrimalGameData 3 /Game/Mods/YashiFactory/PrimalGameData_BP_Fauteuil Version 2 GUID ! 5875B4694790CB2221D3E6B9F0E7E134
