Hello, I am planning to start a Game Server Hosting and planning to use Win 2k8 R2 on my server. So wanted to know if there is any way to optimize the kernel in win2k8 to run the hlds servers at stable 1000fps. Also optimizing windows for better performance and to get maximux game slots on the machine. Server Config, Intel Corei7-3770K 32GB DDR3 2TB 7200RPM SATA 120GB SSD 100mbit uplink Also, on 2nd thought can use Linux as heard many saying that it gives better performance and stability.
