Rust Server Query issue

So since the recent update with rust, now tcadmin query errors. I ended up having to switch the query from half life 2 new, over to config file parser to get it to read the port.anyone know what changed with rust?

nothing has changed in the last update that would affect it.

 

just set it to half life 2 new & set game port and query port the same number.. "ie" 28015

ya im not sure, i have not changed anything, only updated the server via steam update, after a steam update it will work for a bit, then after server restart it seems to then fail.

I have no other game services using these ports.

^That happened to us as well. At the same time, 7 Days to Die servers also stopped working. We were running Debian 8.

 

It seems as if Raknet (the network protocol that Rust and 7 Days uses) just stopped working out of the blue. No matter what we did (reinstalling the entire machine, trying tons of workarounds), nothing would fix it. We were able to run the servers from CentOS and Ubuntu without issues.
