USBz0r
Hey all. ive never used tcadmin to setup my config files before and im trying to do it now. ive noticed custom expressions like "%privatepassword%" "%hostname%" etc. but what i dont understand is why there is no place to put these variables when actually installing the server in the CP? i see custom ports etc but no options for rcon or anything. So if these are not where, where does it grab "%hostname%" and "%privatepassword%" from?
sfcmert
I am very new to TCAdmin, but I think I can answer your question. When you start a game service, the form will ask you to into certain information, which is transferred over to the config file and used when initiating the server. ECF
That is correct. The variables which you see in the config files are filled when you use the automated setup screen. So as an example your %hostname% variable will be entered into the server config file as whatever you enter in that field when using the "Create a Game and Voice Server" screen.
