Lincoln
Here's what's up. I've got my duo dedicated server hosting games, we'll call him Server A. I've got another server setup as a webserver, we'll call him Server B. Server A runs the games, Server B runs Helm, IIS, MySql, all that good stuff. Both servers are Win2k3. Will TCAdmin work for me, and which server(s) will I need to install it on? If it needs to run on Server A, does that mean I'll need to install IIS and SQL on that server? studeggle
I would recommend 2 liscences. Server A: Remote Server B: Master With this configuration you won't need to add IIS or SQL to server A and will get the best performance.
Todd Holley
That is a good idea, but if he only wanted to buy 1 license he could just install one as a web server and the other as a master server. Just depends on what he wants to do. (I use the configuration you recommended)
Lincoln
Or I could save money, axe the webhosting server and just have TCA host the license for $24/mo.
ECF
You could do that as well if you don't want to host IIS and MYSql.
Lincoln
Yeah, I think I'll do that since spending money on another server w/no customers is kinda pointless. I'll wait to expand, then do what was suggested above.
