Variable
Is it safe to have customers have access to command lines in their controls? I was just wondering about it. I hoping that there is limitations?
Chris71288
Only you should have access to command line since they could change ticrate and the number of slots of the server.
Variable
How do I disable it?
ECF
Just add tickrate to the disallowed characters in the commandline section. The slots you should use the Game Monitor plugin, so if a client changes it you get an email and/or the server gets shut down.
Defcon|Rich
When you create a custom cmdline you should get in the habit of adding the variables you don't want the customer to change (slots, ticrate etc) ---------------------------------------------------------------- +set dedicated 2 +set net_ip %serverip% +set net_port %serverport% +set sv_maxclients %slots% %usercmdline% ---------------------------------------------------------------- With the example above the customer cannot change anything before %usercmdline% Hope this helps
