if your running one of those maps from

http://www.aamissiondepot.com/main

and it's not mission capable then it switches to lan mode--which is port 7778 and it kills the monitor. Due to the service being set to monitor port 1717 which is standard from global maps and tourn maps (modes)

TCA no longer knows where to look for the game server (it not on port 1717 now, but 7778)..

This is a security thing on the map, so that you can not cheat the honor system / tracker etc..

Part to look for =

Also, it's not going to be listed in the MBS unless it's a mission capable map.

I just went though about 8 pages of tech support tech with louis on trying to figure out how to get it to auto-reconize that the ports have changes from global to lan mode..

Once a map become mission ready, then it's not an issue..

I'm moving clients from one CP to this one in the next day or 2.

And believe me, this is going to be a major problem for the clients.

They are used to the system doing the auto swap ports..

(i'll be getting 100's of tickets now a day on how come xyz map will not start:)

PS--

there's 3 ways to fix this

You have 3 options:

- Find a way to configure the game to always use the same query port

- Change the query in the service settings when running the game in lan mode

- Disable the AA query so the game monitor does not report that it is down. This is done in the supported game settings. Set the game compatibility to blank.

TCAdmin doesn't know if the game is in lan mode. The query port would have to be changed manually in the service settings or disable the game server query so you don't have to do this.

Or if you know client XYZ is just going to be doing those new maps,

just set his service to port 7778.. of course if he swaps back to a regualr map, expect a support ticket.

It is set to use the same query port which is 1717. How do I get it working with honor and on the browser list again by using the query port 1717?

- Change the query in the service settings when running the game in lan mode

The server was never changed to LAN mode. It is still this: global SFhospital.aao?multihome=xx.xx.xx.xx?port=1716 -nohomedir

- Disable the AA query so the game monitor does not report that it is down. This is done in the supported game settings. Set the game compatibility to blank.

It still shows the server as Unauthorized and not honor too.

Oaky. Checked all the ports below and are all open. Firewall is disabled too.

1716 (UDP), 1717 (UDP), 1718 (UDP), 8777 (UDP), 27900 (UDP), 14200 (TCP), 20025-20045 (TCP), 20046 (TCP), 20047 (TCP) and 20048 (TCP)

These are in the Armyops.ini

[DBAuth.DBAuth]

GameServerIP=xx.xx.xx.xx

[DBAuth.AuthorizeServerRequestAdapter]

ServerAuthUsername=

ServerAuthPassword=

[Engine.GameEngine]

ServerActors=Andromeda.AndromedaMBS

Still having problems running with query port 1717. It runs on 7778 but not honor and not listed on MBS.
