Help a noob

Like i said i dont know anything.

 

I've gotten the teamspeak to work fine, on to the game servers!

 

 

 

Medal of honor spearhead, and Battlefield 2 are what im currently trying to install.

 

I've gotten the configs for them off the site.

 

I am not really sure where to go from there, ive installed the servers and time out connecting to both.

 

i've checked in interact with desktop, which i assumes it will show the console window on the desktop>? but i dont see anything.

In order to see the services that are set to interact with the desktop you need to login to the server as console.

 

 

 

On your local machine clcik Start>Run and paste this in the box.

 

 

 

mstsc -v xx.xx.xx.xx /console

 

 

 

Replace the x's with your server IP and hit enter.

 

Then login as normal and you will see the game consoles.

I would suggest grabbing a config file from this forum:

Simply follow the directions to import it into your panel. Then open it up and take a look an the configuration details it fills in to give you a better idea of what goes in each field for a game.

i got the config(s) and all im just not sure what i am putting in for those 4 fields no matter what the game is.

Application=the game executable

 

Working Directory=the directory the game executable resides in

 

Game Root Directory=the root folder for that game server

 

User File Directory=the folder which clients can access

 

 

 

If you import a config the fields will be filled in for you. You can then simply edit them to match your system.
