NRTServers
Evening All: Would any-one have a streaming media config for the broadcast media portation inside 2003 Server? TCadmin seems to control just about everything else it seems. If not I guess this is our next project. We are going to broadcasting a sanctioned race series over the net. On another note, would any one have a guestimation as per bandwidth totals for 200 users for 1 1/2 hours might be? Not that it is a concern just curious. ECF
Streaming Media is setup in windows itself. Goto Add/Remove Programs and Windows Programs and install it. Here is a link to help you out. http://technet2.microsoft.com/WindowsServer/en/library/b785bc1e-8371-4b19-acbf-59edaa954a9e1033.mspx?mfr=true
NRTServers
Thanks ECF Yes we have that part done and it is streaming fine. We were just hoping that there might have been something out there already written that might have some sort of control features. This way the client could have some control back through TCadmin. If Scott comes up with something valuable for this I will post it here. We also have some other programs also we are using re: points and statistics managers, A Carfile Manager and and a couple of display managers that we have been able to get into TCadmin. so now they are able to be client specific, for if they want them or not to run in there packages. ECF
There would be nothing in TCAdmin that would control Windows Streaming media.
Jissh
Have you looked at HELIX. http://www.realnetworks.com/products/media_delivery.html We do streaming services for a couple of radio networks and it works very well. If your with Software Spectrum for for your volume licenses you should be able to get some pricing on it.
