Todd Holley
Wow AA with default settings uses almost 256 MB of ram. Is there any way to cut this down a lot, because that is just ridiculous! Plus the server files themselves are over 5 gigs! Anyone know of any tweaks for aa that will help out the ram usage?
swish
The server files should be around 3gb and no theres no way to lower the ram usage. Just wait till you get a full 26 slot hehe.
Todd Holley
I don't know whether expanding to aa will be worth it.
ECF
256MB is nothing for a game nowadays. But unless you have ranked status with AA then it probably is not worth it.

I guess so, I'm just used to seeing the q3 engine which takes about 100 mb in cod1 and 50mb in cod2.

Just like the Battlefield line, if you cant sell the Honor (or ranked) theres not much market.
Todd Holley
What kind of fees are there for getting "ranked"?
kalyse
More then is worthwhile. If you dig around you will see a discussion on here. Considering the cost it will be per month, unless you were there at the beginning its probably not worth it now.
Todd Holley
I completely agree it isn't worth it after receiving an email with the pricing on it. I would have to sell at 5 dollars a slot.
ECF
They have two plans that both require $1000's up front, and x amount for each server you host.
Todd Holley
Yeah, one is 1k up front and the other is 5k. The 5k has smaller fees per server. Here is the copy and paste. ANNUAL Preferred Provider Fee $5,000.00 MONTHLY Server Instances 5-19 $30.00 Server Instances 20-99 $28.00 Server Instances 100-499 $17.00 Server Instances Over 500 $15.00 Game Portals $0.20 Other one ANNUAL Honor Provider Fee $1,000.00 MONTHLY Server Instances 5-19 $36.00 Server Instances 20-99 $34.00 Server Instances 100-499 $32.00 Server Instances Over 500 $32.00 Game Portals $0.
