antidelldude
I am having a problem updating my TF2 servers. It seems that when I specify a directory such as the game root. It decides to update to %gameroot%/orangebox/ so i'm like no problem. I set TCAdmin root as the directory before orange box, and set it to find the executable inside the orangebox folder. I got to update, now the updater decides to put an orange box folder inside the orange box folder, it just won't update the files that are there. This is really getting on my nerve's because it is a real chore every time an update comes out to manually check files and change the ones that were updated across all servers. I hope someone has had a similar problem and can help. PLEASE!
tangogc
there is a know issue on the steam update when you have some spaces in the folder name. Check to have the game server path without any spaces. example wrong c:\gameserver\my server\tc564535\tf2 right c:\gameserver\myserver\tc564535\tf2

antidelldude
I finally got steam to update inside the orange box directory. But now every time someone updates, it places the hl2 folder outside of the orange box folder. When I delete the orangebox folder it will place the hl2 folder inside the orangebox folder. But when I update again it goes back outside the orangebox folder. Anyone have a trick to get around this stupid steam update glitch?
