xpservers
Is anyone running this combo, if so are you having issues when zblock is installed ? We have numerous customers complaining when Zblock is installed the server crashes every hour or so. We tested it in our own environment and were able to duplicate the issue. Tried setting srcds.exe to windows 2003 compatibility mode and still the same. Mirror image of server on our win 2003 box and no crashes. Any input would be great thanks

adamnp
Have to keep in mind that its a beta product, so doubtful that any support will come prior to a public release. Ah well;)
xpservers
looks to me like a memory dump error here is the windows event application error: Faulting application srcds.exe, version 0.0.0.0, time stamp 0x444d93d2, faulting module steam_api.dll, version 1.0.0.1, time stamp 0x4643adf1, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00002c4a, process id 0x5d8, application start time 0x01c86a1880a0112c. Here is the error from the mdmp dump file. I use c++ to diagnose this and im attaching the file: Unhandled exception at 0x222dfd02 in Steam__194572__2008_2_9T5_19_5C83660856.mdmp: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0x00000000. Johnny5_Hull
Did anyone hear anything about this being sorted, as we are having the same issues. Although we are having them on Win 2003
{-SMAKU-}_MotorMouth
We have the same kind of error with with America's Army on 2008. It all points to memory error. We have two server same config except one is 2003 one is 2008. The 2003 server no problems with AA but the 2008 crashes every day almost.
ECF
Make sure that you have DEP turned off. DEP will sometimes cause errors like this due to mod files.
Johnny5_Hull
Thanks for that. Will give it a whirl.

SickPuppy
We tried the disable Data Execution Prevention work around and AA still fails for no reason. We are getting no help from MS or AA
ECF
I would suspoect your issue is with 2008. The DEP workaround was for the other poster asking about Z-Block.
[-PB-]Punisher
about that DEP workaround, do i need to ADD gaming related .exe files to exceptions list, or just SRCDS.exe?
