Hello Everyone,

Due to issues with our investment company which has been backing our movements for about a little over a year we have been asked not to make any statements to the public. Which I fully disagree on but I would like to let everyone know what is going on.

HypedGaming will be closing its doors. You will see an official statement on the subject on the website later on. If you want to make an offer, by all means you can email: b.lowell[at]hypedgaming.com for the domain names/website/customer database/custom forums/etc...

Current customers, please email a.hale[at]hypedgaming.com/j.jacobs[at]hypedgaming.com. All customers that ordered during our actual down time have been refunded. All other customers please email the above address for more information regarding your account.

Due to the issues with what happened, the economies current state, we just weren't able to recover, so we have to close up shop.

I don't have any other current details, I have had no time personally to make any personal announcements, or even talk to you guys on AIM. I very much so apologize, and trust me we're doing everything we can. Our investment company which owns the major percentages of HypedGaming have been ragging their brains; Jordan has, Aaron has, I have, we all are doing what we can. Like I said, I am not even supposed to make any public announcements regarding this issue, but the public needs to at least have some word on what's going on.

I personally apologize to everyone that has been affected by this, and hope we settle/work out everything in the end. Please do take my sincere apologies; we're doing what we can.

Everyone should see an official statement/change on the website within the next few days.

Regards,

- Brian Lowell

Couldn't recover? Surely 1 review isn't going to kill a company, I presume something else has happened? Does anybody have any additional information?

I think their master server went kaput and they did not have a backup of the database.

Rumors spread like wildfire, still always saddend to see others dissipear. While it may be more market for the others, its never good to see competitiors closing doors. Remember to keep to your business plan, and don't do the slide into first...eventually there will be a hole there.

Best of luck to both jordan and brian.

Yeah, something had to happen for this to be the end result. I mean for what they sold that CODboards or CODforums domain for they should have been good for a few months. And everything else going they had to have a bigger issue.

Best of luck on landing on there feet.

I'm really not surprised, Whenever I see a company go under $2 a slot, the end is near.

Nice guys and nice site, I'm sure they will land on thier feet.

=bobby

That wasn't the issue. And besides, only our lower end half-life 1/2 based games were under $2 a slot.

I think the company could have recovered, however I feel it was the right decision to close up shop. The economy isn't doing as good as most of us would like it to be, but if it worsens, the first thing people will get rid of in their budget are non-necessities (e.g. game servers), or switch to cheap $1/slot hosts, leaving those companies who charge accordingly in the dust.

I can't speak for Jordan or Brian, or say that this is the reason why the company did decide to shut down, but I think it was the right decision

Rich, if you even noticed the forums were put offline for a reason (long before we even shut down), and the index page was put at "Sorry, our forums are offline". Also, I am not sure how you ordered (or whomever ordered) did, when everything on our website was linked to "#". Thanks, yeah we're being so dishonest we have been refunding most if not all to the best of our intentions the orders that came through after the panel went offline, shut down all of our order pages, and I have been trying to inform the community of whats going on when A. I am not supposed to and B. No one else will while we're going through this.

Please, leave your accusations elseware.

I guess putting an effort to be helpful out there, only gets you stepped all over.

Brian,

You don't owe me or anyone here anything, What you do owe is your customers and keeping them informed of what's going on with your company. To my knowledge nobody from hypedgaming has come forward to announce anything related to closing down except to reply to someone elses topic.. so when exactly were you planning on letting everyone know what's going on? After you collect enough cash to cover your exit?

I placed an order 2 days ago for a ventrilo server through your site and paid via CC. The funds have been in your account for 2 days now and not one word from you on either the server or anything else.. Your order form worked fine until this morning. Would you like to go back in time with alexa and find out who's telling the truth here?

PS. Your forums were put offline most likely because of the 2 pages full of posts with "where's the server I ordered???" I don't know of any reason why a company would close down their "community portal".

I don't believe a word of it. First of all how many GSP's do you know go to investment companies?

Besides that any investor would surely demand the company issue an immediate statement to their customers concerning the state of affairs. Possibly not a public announcement but customers have a right to know. Neglecting to do that would open them up to all sorts of backlash.. It doesn't make any sense from a practical or legal stand point. Not to mention they already commented on closing their doors publicly so it's a moot point.

All of our game server order links are (and have been) down

Look's like Brian forgot to take the ventrilo and teamspeak link's though. I'm glad you're so good at only pointing out the negatives.

As for not making an official statement yet, if you had read our previous statement, we can't because of issues with investors.

No offense Rich, but mind your own business and stop being an instigator. I doubt you even need a ventrilo server (seeing that you have your own license..), so you probably bought it just so you could have something to say. This alone causes enough stress as it is, we really don't need someone blowing it out of proportion. We're doing our best to hand out refunds to those who ordered. If we wanted to scam our customers we wouldn't have even bothered posting on GSPTruth.

Actually the reason we ordered the ventrilo server was something totally different. I was contacted the other day and asked to look into a rumor about you guys possibly hosting ventrilo illegally. Only after the server was purchased did we realize you were going out of business so I guess it's a moot point.

I'm not hear to instigate anything. My role is merely to keep you honest and possibly provide a suggestion or two along the way. I'm sorry if you cannot see it that way.

I don't know you or Brian personally other then the fiasco with the purchase of GriffinRun but for what it's worth good luck to you both. As well good luck to Jordan who I know personally and spent many -long- nights chatting with when Fragnservers first began to take shape. It's unfortunate to see companies close shop but even the best intentions sometimes don't quite pan out.
