ECF
As many of you allready know, the southern coast of the US was hit with a huge hurricane a few days ago. The destruction was absolutely enormous. For those interested you can read all about it on http://www.cnn.com or http://www.msnbc.com. Right now there are tens of thousands of people who are stranded in cities which have been completely flooded. And many more were evactuated, but now have nothing since their homes and businesses were completely destroyed. They are estimating the death toll to be in the thousands, and property damage to be in the billions of dollars. As a company Balance Servers will be making a donation to the American Red Cross to in some small way help all the victims and their families. As a plea to all the hosters out there I would like to ask that you consider makig a donation on behalaf of your own company as well. Even if it is a small amount, every little bit helps when added togather. You may find the Red Cross organizations site here: http://www.redcross.org And a direct link to their donation page here: https://www2.redcross.org/donate/donation-form.asp You can earmark your donation for the hurricane by selecting "Hurricane 2005" from the list of funds. I am sure there are numerous organizations and charities that will be collecting for the relief fund as well, but the Red Cross is one of the largest international help orgs of it's kind, which guarantees the money which you donate will go to the appropriate fund. Thank you for reading this post and I hope some of you will take the time to help out.
