Problems with windows server 2003

Able to get the control panel working with out any problem,when i install a game with the CP or with out, my client game will not connect. ive tryed seeing if the ports are open and it said no.the only thing is i have no firewall active. so i dont see why my client dont connect to the game server. any ideas?

 

is there something on windows 2003 server that blocks ports.

Are you able to query your game servers to verify they are online?

i started the game manually without using CP checkted in CMD with netstat and the ports look open tryed to connect to the server with my game and all it says something rong with the network,no idea how to do a query

Use qtracker to query the server and make sure it is online.

did that and it shows up on qtracker

? on which port does the client connect to is it the gamespy port or the server port

The default port when setting up a HL or HL2 based game is 27015

are you running this server in a datacenter or in your own home? If you are on your home network, you would need to check your router settings and make sure your ports are forwarded to the computer/server

it run though a data center its battlefield 2 if any one could test it the ip is 213.165.80.11 port number 16565

just tryed the updated server on port 16556 and we have a new error msg now you soft ware is older than the server hope that its working now updateing my software
