gemcneill Posted October 8, 2008 Share Posted October 8, 2008 I am having a strange issue with TF2/DODS/GMOD servers. The entire server will spike (on all 4 cores) to 100% for a few secs and then go back to normal. This causes havoc in that game as well as for the rest of the game servers on that box. The solution I have found is to set game to a single core instead of allowing it to run on all cores through tcadmin. However as I understand it, this is suppose to allow the load to be spread to multiple cores. Is there some kind of windows patch (2003x64) that is missing, that is causing this issue, or is this just a fact of life that you must set a core for these game types to run on?
