I have always said that any president who wins this election is handed a big mess. So the person who wins is only going to be in for 1 term since they will get the blame for everything that goes wrong. Kind of glad he won and gets the blame and not the republicans.

Unfortunatly the democrats have free riegn now, as they prety much control the house and senate as well as presedency. So they will have a field day passing stuff, and in four years they will probably still be blaming the republicans saying they need more time to clean up the mess. Unforutunaly this years vote pretty much destroyed the whole checks and ballances of the goverment which I fear may have disaterous consequences down the line.

Well when he says he wants to take from one person and give it to another that is socialism. I'm not entitled to your money your not entitled to my money...period! I don't care how much or little you make. The government does not need to spread your wealth!

We should get rid of public schooling, roads and the police. After all, those are just socialist and elitist luxuries.

 

Don't just focus on one sound bite ("spread the wealth"), look at their fiscal and monetary policies, it's not like they keep them a secret. I personally think Obama's will be be better in the long run--we need to stop investing in Iraq and reinvest in America where WE live. Sure, we'll drive up our debt a bit, but we'll create thousands of jobs and opportunities along the way. And hey, we just gave the richest people in the country 700 billion dollars, whats another few hundred billion dollars?

 

Meanwhile, Bush doubled our national debt in 8 years with no visible improvements to our country. (quite the opposite actually)

 

Of course there's the possibility that Obama might not change anything, but that was a possibility with McCain too. You can think whatever you want and have your own opinion. But if you detest Barack Obama, tough crap, you'll have to live with him for the next few years or leave the country. Us "dirty liberals" have put up with Bush's shenanigans for 8 years, you'll have to do the same.

 

But yes, this probably isn't the best place to talk politics.
