hello could some one help me out with tick rates. what i want to do is sell 66tik servers and 100tik css servers because alot of people want it. im woundering how do i set up tcadmin to create a server on 100tik

Export the existing Counter Strike Source config, open the file, rename it internally to something else then import it and add -tickrate X, where X is your tickrate (66 or 100)

You will need to edit the tcid # in the config as well or it will try to overwrite the existing one.

 

just open it in a editor and do a find replace all for -tickrate 66 to -tickrate 100 and the same for the id# find TC7876302660867 replace with TC7876302660899 or whatever, just change it to a non-existent #

WHMCS can also specify an additional command line, so we specify tickrate and fps_max in the additional section and have a single config for CSS.

is it possible to run a css server on 300tik on windows? if so what do i need to add in command line?

You should never run any Source server over 100 tick, above 100 things start to go very wrong.

 

100 should be plenty, most people can't tell the difference between 66 and 100 anyway.

You shouldn't run 100 TICK really at all. You should run it at 99 tick. The other 1 tick leftover is left to estimation and various other things.

1.6 is different, FPS is directly reflected upon the tickrate.
