MOHAA password issue

For some reason I can not set a private password on this game type. I have set it in the server.cfg

 

set g_password "scrim"

set password "scrim"

 

and still nothing. I am pretty sure that g_password is correct, but I did some searching on the web that suggested other wise. Both are set and hlsw are showing both set, but there is no password and tcadmin is throwing up emails stating as such. I did a quick search in these forums and found there was an issue with rcon passwords but not this. Does anyone know what this could be?

this is a now issue of old Mohaa Game server. you need to reboot the box to have password working

Thats only RCON not game passwords.

try this rcon xxx set password XXXXXX

 

For your server to be passworded, simply use rcon set password XXX then type rcon restart to activate the password. If you require to take the password off simply type rconpassword "" and then rcon restart, that will remove the password.
