Startpending

Recommended Posts

Something is going weird on one of my machines, some servers are in startpending state whereas they are running fine and players are on them.

3 of them had some issues during half an hour tho, being alternatively online and offline.

CPU charge was fine and this was not a connection or firewall issue.

I got customers posting support tickets since they cant do much with the Cpanel.

I will reboot that machine later but cant do it when servers are full.

Note that stopped servers cant get started "couldnt start service TCXXX" so I had to run them manually until hopefully the reboot fixes it.

Thought I could go sleep early today and now gota wait til servers get empty then reboot and check if all is ok.

looks like it was a windows issue, when i rebooted the machine never came back online. Something was screwed with the msconfig and some drivers and services werent started.

Wake up early today to format and reinstall, done soon.

PS about format / reinstall isnt there some way to make it faster cuz I had backup of server files but im forced to 1st reinstall the server with a defautl install then stop it, recover the backup files, recreate the custom command line and finally start the server.

Reboot should fix the issue.

posted almost at same time, reboot actually finished me and my full of support tickets mailbox

could u maybe give me some tip about reinstalling faster after a format? Main problem is the services creation. About the install scripts I found some script doing the job in these forums, had to launch it for every game hosted on that machine.
