CS:S Server Files

Hi,

 

I have few questions because I never hosted steam games before.

Obviously I need Counter Strike Source.

 

Where to get server files?

Do I have to pay for Steam version for server or what?

I´m really noobish regarding this question.

If someone can explain me I would be grateful.

Thx, but now I have another problem,it is about cod4...

I ant get promodlive running, usually everything you should do is add mod in mods folder and point fsgame command in cm line changer to runt it....

I do all of that but it simply dont want to run server....

Any advices?

That dont work either, I am really running out of options...

 

When I exclude fs_game command server runs normally but when I try to run mod server wont even start....:confused:

Show us the command line you are trying to use.

 

Also whats the directory structure?

Have you tried running any other mods to see if its the mod itself? The commandline looks good and should fire up.

 

Also where is the server.cfg located? Is it inside the promodlive folder?

No cfg is not inside promodlive folder, it should be?

Usually the cfg's are inside the mod folder yes. You also didn't say wether you tried any other mods. Is it just this mod you are having trouble with?

 

Try a different mod to make sure it's not the mod files themselves.

 

Your sure you have promod for COD4 and not the promod for WaW?

I got it, obviously the mod files were wrong.

I found fresh ones and it works like charm....

I have problem with pam105 mod.

I am pretty sure that mod file is ok.

Server dont want to boot at all.

I put mod in main folder.

 

If you dont know whats up, then post mod file that is 100% working...

Mod needs to go inside Mods folder not main.

 

\COD4\Mods\pam105

I am afraid that it is some config or iwd files problem...

Which version of cod2, I know it works normally on 1.3

Yes it is 1.3.

Mod file is 100% ok, but dont know why it dont want to work.

Maybe some of server files are corrupt?
