HGN-Daniel
Last I heard they were moving the site over to another server so I'd guess the dns hasn't updated yet? I don't think it's the DNS. OpenDNS usually starts resolving pretty quickly and it's still down for me. Isn't tcadmin on one of your (defcon's) servers? Maybe the server's just down C:\Users\Daniel>nslookup tcadmin.com Server: resolver1.opendns.com Address: 208.67.222.222 Non-authoritative answer: Name: tcadmin.com Address: 75.126.210.161 C:\Users\Daniel>nslookup 75.126.210.161 Server: resolver1.opendns.com Address: 208.67.222.222 Name: major.defconservers.com Address: 75.126.210.161 C:\Users\Daniel>ping 75.126.210.161 Pinging 75.126.210.161 with 32 bytes of data: Request timed out. Defcon|Rich
All I can tell you is they are aware of the problem and are working on it as we speak. I'm sure will issue an update when everything is back to normal.
pjdaley
maybe they should put it on a linux server if it isn't already :-p!
VicToMeyeZR
Why do you think Defcon is the only banner at the top?
Bryce
Why do you think Defcon is the only banner at the top? Actually just noticed that. Never really put much thought into the fact that the banner was always there. Guess that makes sense now.
ECF
We tried linux the first time around with less than stellar results. If you all remember back to when our linux system was rooted? And yes we even had a linux specialized management company managing the server for us. This just shows how vulnerable PHP can be. Linux is a great hosting OS but the PHP programs that run under it are scary. At any rate, the server was actually online. We were installing VMware on it so we could put the demo panel back up. Somehow the network configuration got fubarred, hence the downtime.

Dan M
Ah, VMWare! We had the same issue a while ago. Had to forcefully restart the machine as the network adapters muffled up
pjdaley
I have a few clients that I migrated over to Exchange 2007 from 2003 a few months ago, used vmotion/storage, I was able to fully setup the new servers, cluster them, migrate the data and provide a zero downtime environment, was pretty much the coolest thing I have seen.
