[Question] Regarding to Master Server + Files

Hello,

 

I have a question since im doing some changes.

 

If i have all the games all .rar up in my master server C:\GameInstalls

 

How would i set it to pull it from my remote?

 

Does this work?

This is what I did so far,

 

I set up a FTP account on TCadmin that is on my master server

and set a user + password and selected the directory.

C:\GameInstalls

 

Anyways,

Than I went to System Settings - > File Servers ->

and add the IP , user name + pw, and click "test" and it said okay.

than i set it to my servers.

 

does this work?

 

Will my remote pull the files from my master server? or this wouldn't work and I prob have to do it some other way?

like sign up for a VPS / etc? or do it from my web hosting or some sort?

 

please share some advises.

You don't need to make a FTP account.

 

Go to Admin Home > System Settings > Servers and open the config for your master server.

 

Under the heading FTP settings check off the box that says "Is Master FTP Server"

Save it.

 

Then go to the config for the remote server.

 

Find and check off the box that says "Download Game Files from FTP Server"

 

Then use the dropdown to select the FTP server to pull from.

 

Save and your Good to go.

Thanks! do i really need to input any details in the fTP IP ?

Nope, it says right there in RED . blank will bind to all IP's
