You don't set it up in plesk! If the ip And port is allready in use tcadmin can't use it. Tcadmin sets up it's own website on the ip and port you tell ot too the you tell your DNS server to point the desired URL at that ip and port (for most DNS servers you should stick to port 80 for the website as that is default and changing can be tricky to impossible)

Forget the idea of Plesk, it's another pointless conflict that Parallels like to sit back and watch. ;)

PREACH!

I agree, Plesk obviously doesn't care about their customer base. Considering some of the OLDEST feature requests have gone un-answered for almost a decade now.

Multiple admins anyone? Nah just share one password between all your staff with root level permissions - it's all good!

Lewis, I'd read up on using IIS and MYSQL server, along with WinDNS and abolish Plesk completely.

It'll save you future complications, and as ECF said, TCA won't be able to do anything whilst Plesk is running. There are a few people on the forum which I'm sure would help you get IIS, MYSQL and DNS installed on your windows machine.

Agreed completely. :)

Plesk takes control over the whole ball of wax so to speak. It controls IIS, MYSql, ASP.NET etc...

It can be done but it is an entailed job to install to a Plesk box. Luis can do it but I won't bother him with installs anymore.

I've completely removed Plesk. :)

Steven - What do you mean? Do you mean something completely seperate to the Master server? (Such as a cheap Linux shared account on the side just to run the website) or something else?

I was hoping to be able to get my domain talking to my Windows box. (If you know what I mean)

I'd recommend hosting your own DNS, once it's configured that's it then. You'll only need to create a simple A record for any subdomains you want to create, plus it's more reliant anyway.

Your host should be able to help you out with DNS, providing you give them access to your server.

Who is your host?
