simplerack
Hello, I have ordered the trial and awaiting for it to be issued to me so i may test out TcAdmin. I am wondering to run a game server what is the configuration needed to successfully run it?
trancemode
this really depends on what type of games your hosting and how many servers your planning to host. but it should be something at least minimum of quad core. if you are using celeron or some old processors, that isn't a good idea. I am wondering to run a game server what is the configuration needed to successfully run it? How long is a piece of string, Basic requirements nothing lower than 4 cores and no less than 4GB Ram But then it depends on your OS Drivers HDD Configuration and also your Processors (some do better than others)
simplerack
Okay, better question. ECF
There is no set formula to figure out how many slots you can get per box. It depends on numerous things such as type of game, mods installed, what other gametypes you have running on the box etc... The question simply cannot be answered. Trial and error will give you some idea on what the box will hold for slots.
