yahan
I'm having trouble having tcadmin connecting to mysql database. I was wondering if anyone who has go daddy for their web host has had problems?
barracuda
As far as I know your only able to host the MySQL over the Dedicated Server its self. That's what we've done in the past. As far as hosting it off the dedicated server on its own, I'm not too sure. I think everything would very such as the OS of the WebHost (Win & Linux). HIS-MOTHER
You can connect to remote SQL DB's. Make sure your SQL host has the ports open on thier IP tables or firewall.
KevinJ
Is it possible to have the website portion and mysql portion on a godaddy server?
studeggle
Only if you are willing to do the work yourself, as it is not a supported method by TcAdmin, and godaddy hosting supports .net You would need to install the website on a machine to grab the files, database, and .NET configuration. Then copy the files, and database over. Then setup your .NET settings on godaddy. Sorry I don't use godaddy hosting so I can't get more sepcific then that. pjdaley
I'm having trouble having tcadmin connecting to mysql database. I was wondering if anyone who has go daddy for their web host has had problems? I would not recommend doing this, you can get a cheap dedicated server for the price you would be paying GoDaddy. Remote SQL is something I personally try and steer clear of for exploit reasons, but if it is monitored and patched properly you should be alright. Just do a search for a cheap dedicated server to run the tcadmin on, or put it on one of your game servers to start off with. Hope that helps
