Arma2 1.05

Patch 1.05 was released however I cannot seem to find the dedicated exe.

7Gb i doubt it will be available that fas better patch directly ur game and start uploading

it's not really 7gb it's only your impression we discuss the some problem about the patch 1.04 (look the posts) the patch is 200mb running exe extractor or similar.

1.04 was fine, 1.03 wasnt.

 

The patch itself is 250Mb but the touched files are 7Gb.

Yes it now uses 25% CPU VS 26%. LOL

hmm i see a linux standalone server update but don't see any windows standalone =/

not sure why they just can't release a standalone version just like all their past versions. guessing cause due to their first linux support release or some sort.

don't have arma installed on the server.

saying "can't find installation"

 

was hoping it was a zip so i can just take out the server files.

you must have the arma1.04 files on ur machine.

 

If you got 32 bits OS make a .reg file with these contents :

 

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Bohemia Interactive Studio\ArmA 2]
"MAIN"="C:\\GameInstalls\\arma2"
"KEY"=hex:XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX,XX

 

change path and key to yours (check your key on ur own install)

 

for 64 bits OS :

 

Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

change path and key to yours (check your key on ur own install)

You don;t need 1.04. That patch is a full it will patch any version from 1.01 to 1.05.

thats theory but in fact many ppl are having issues patching and looks like having 1.04 helps.

 

1 customer of mine confirmed that some of his team mates were having problems patching.

 

Else idk, worked fine for me but had 1.04.

WE patched a default 1.01 install to 1.05 no issues.

 

Also patched a 1.03 install to 1.05 with the same patch. It read the version and patched what it needed.

We also didnt use hacked registry files. We keep clean virgin installs of all titles to ensure a smooth patching process.

actually hacking the registry file is supposed to help those having issues before/during/after patching.

 

it has worked perfectly for me and for those who tried it. However you must have clean files to ensure it works.

alright, so if I have 1.04 installed from previous than it should work?

 

but i never had the game installed, just the server files.

ye, it shold work even with a previous version but as far as I could read 1.04 makes less chances to fail.

weird can't find the Bohemia Interactive Studio

in the registry.
