dimitrifrom31
if u dont even know the difference i would suggest you to simply not do it. Else you can choose to browse those forums and read the 1000fps related threads, they will give you all the info you need.

ECF
What Dimitri is saying is that if you do not know how to properly run 1000 FPS servers then you shouldn't be running them. And yes, they do use much more CPU than a standard CS game.

dimitrifrom31
What Dimitri is saying is that if you do not know how to properly run 1000 FPS servers then you shouldn't be running them. that or just search for "1000 fps" in forums and read the different threads. Reading will teach you how to do then you can run tests on ur machine(s). After that you can decide to support 1000fps or not. 1000fps is a kind of joke and tbh hosts are providing it only cuz some customers think its cool to have a 1000fps server and they are charged much more than for a standard server. That being said, the ingame experience has nothing extraordinary and is not worth running 1000fps. 512 is ways enough and from my own experience I can tell you 99% of the players cant even make difference between 256 (default) and 512 fps. The only interest from a GSP point is that if you got a demand then you can make $ of it but this is definitely not a must have.
