Hey guys,

new site I put up and have been modifying a bit, and i've noticed a few others asking for feedback here with some great responses so figured I would do the same. Got a basic script for this after an idea popped into my head from another site I happened to scroll across. Since I grabbed the basic script I have been modding/molding it to what I want todo with it..I suck ass at php/mysql, so this is a learning curve for me and something I'm kinda getting into.

If anyone has any feedback/thoughts or suggestions I'd greatly appreciate it..constructive though, good or bad :)

The concept is simple...You post something you like, then click the like, and you friends see it and return to the site to view it aswell. They then click it, and so on and so on.

Current things todo:

Include images

Include URL's

Format/style Recent posts/top posts

Add RSS feed

Thanks for your help!

Note: You should be logged into FB, or have an active cookie for all modules to appear/load correctly.

Site URL is: http://www.fblikelist.com/

Thanks guys :) Got a lot more stuff Im implementing...I'm not a huge FB fan myself either, but there is absolutely no denying the traffic crater over there :)

Thats the goal of the project, learn the Facebook API, and learn how to garner traffic from it :)

Only place traffic is coming from is a link on the NoobGalore website, and some posts on our twitter page. I haven't purchased traffic or advertised for the site anywhere else.

The traffic is coming from facebook :) This is the beauty of this virus.

Project Update:

Redid entire CSS, now seperate sheets for ff, ie, opera, and 'default'

Added some graphical blocks to hold the information, and styled the information a bit.

Added our domain, with link back through the API. (This has increased root url hits impressively)

Added another advertisement.

Changed minimum 'likes' to display in top feed to 1, this gets rid of clutter responses ( Will change accordingly as traffic increases)

Fixed comments area, now saves data and integrates with visitors friends, likes, and recent viewed relevant content.

Working on: adding a captcha image/dissallowing multiple posts.

adding images, and video capabilities

an "all" likes page, searchable

converting traffic, urging them to create new unique content

utilizing content and links to SEO each r. link, to prepare for eventual advertisements.

16 uniqute hits 6/5 (Day 1)

518 unique hits 6/6 (Day 2)

972 unique hits 6/7 (Day 3)

590 unique hits 6/8 (Day 4)

1280 unique hits 6/9 (Day 5)

ad money -

$0.03 6/5

$0.30 6/6

$0.98 6/7

$0.49 6/8

$2.31 6/9

Total cost of project: $29

Your background needs a transparent background instead of black (see corners). http://www.fblikelist.com/images/404recent.png

You should consider slicing that up and coding it instead of having to position everything manually over that image, it'll make things a lot easier in the long run.

yeah, im actually doing that now... It's been retarded trying to place things to the left, because the image holds a large padding area from the right. Changing it all now and putting everything in its own tables. Allow me to place content below the main FB image there.

Also the black was put in on purpose. I had it transparent before, but there is a new 'background' coming that the black will integrate with, which is why it was changed :)

Appreciate the input :)

Sites now recieving over 3500 daily unique visitors avg of around 20 concurrent. with 250,000 page views daily... I plan on hitting the million mark by the end of the month. Ad's are steady at around $1.00/CPM , I'd like to achieve around $1.25.

I still have not advertised the site anywhere but on my facebook profile, and NoobGalore.

I have a design being done at the moment, and will apply the script to a new face.

Updated script features to be released upon webdesign completion:

indexed likes, searchable, referenceable and geotargeted advertisement spots, and "friend" like pages (These pages will display likes of popular sites such as cnn.com, money.com, news.com etc)

Adam,

Do you have an internet radio license? If so, how much was it? Or did you go through a third party service to track and pay royalties to the artists?

Yes, I have had a radio license for awhile now, which was obtained actually after they they sent us a warning 4 years ago when they started hammering down on internet radio sites after that court ruling. TBH I had no clue where/how to get the license up until that point. :)

http://www.ascap.com/weblicense/

Our panel tracks all hits played on each stream at each hour and for how long they listen. We pay based off this information. The majority of our listener base actually listens to our own tracks created by DJ's that give us the permission to utilize the songs (in exchange for airtime) which helps keep our costs down. For every thing else we pay.

This was a very hazy area for me, and I just simply called my local radio station and asked for help, they sent me on the right path. I can answer some questions if you have any, but I'm no expert.

Looks cool, very nice. Both sites that is. I think i saw you advertising on tcadmin forums... not sure tho, memory is hazy.

Didn't advertise on TCA, just started this thread here asking for opinions/feedback on the site. I don't have all the answers, and the members here do a good job of non discretionate reviewing :)

Thanks for the review :}

Thanks for the info Adam. I looked into starting a webradio site a while back but the legal BS was too much for me to handle at the time. I did google searches etc... but I could never seem to come to a definate answer on what license(s) were needed.
