Wow. I see they have changed some of the licensing since I looked into it. They did not have the "Interactive" license model back then.

I think I will take a look at getting a license now.

Yeah, like I said...I was in the same boat back then, so I said fuckit and just put the site up...Figured someone would contact me eventually. That led me to the local radio station who eventually pointed me where I had to go. It has changed significantly since back then :)

Sites now recieving over 3500 daily unique visitors avg of around 20 concurrent. with 250,000 page views daily... I plan on hitting the million mark by the end of the month. Ad's are steady at around $1.00/CPM , I'd like to achieve around $1.25.

I still have not advertised the site anywhere but on my facebook profile, and NoobGalore.

I have a design being done at the moment, and will apply the script to a new face.

Updated script features to be released upon webdesign completion:

indexed likes, searchable, referenceable and geotargeted advertisement spots, and "friend" like pages (These pages will display likes of popular sites such as cnn.com, money.com, news.com etc)

So you make $250 a day? Assuming you have at least one ad on every page that generates a page view.

not sure how your coming up with that number...but no its more like $.25/ad space daily. The problem with the advertisements is there is still minimal content so crap ads are being displayed.

(250,000 page views/1000 views) * $1.00 CPM = $250.00

What are you using to measure traffic? I have a feeling some of those numbers may be a bit inaccurate just because it seems a bit unrealistic. With 3500 unique visitors per day and 250,000 page views that means each unique visitor views around 70 pages. Have you considered installing Google Analytics?

I'm utilizing webalizer, raw data logs, whos.amung.us, and the logs from the advertisements. I'm not a fan of Google analytics, HOWEVER!!! After reviewing the webalizer info again, I misread the pageviews...Total pageviews were 250,000....Daily pageviews were 12,000 on 6/15 , 19,000 on 6/16, and 28,000 so far today. Which explains the miscalculation perfectly. Whoever installed this retarded cpanel theme is going to get a whoopin :)

I knew there was a calculation wrong when you posted that amount...thanks for catching that :) I wish the revenue was already $250/day..Thatd give me a boner!

Howya get that number?

I use an online service that allows me to keep track of my competitors. It will show your rankings on the keywords I enter and the total and unique hits your website gets each day.

The 114 is going to be accurate enough to see how a competitor's site is doing. I would bet that your traffic is closer to the 114 than it is 3500

All I can say to that is I would *DEFINATELY* stop paying for that service :) Going off that basis, your competitors are 10x bigger than you think!

If I were you I would check the daily hits from a few other sources, your numbers are unrealistic.

A better bet would be that your website is 10x smaller than you think

Read up a few posts, I stated the website was being monitored by/from multiple different reference points/sources, and all of the sources dictate the same level of traffic that I am reporting.

This is a simple learning project, there is no business or competition here, and there most definately is no reason to lie about it on these forums in an ill attempt to make you blush.

I suggest you take a chill pill with all the assresponses in other peoples threads as of late, because frankly they are just getting downright outlandish, childish, baseless, and annoying.

-Left justify your top/recent likes. Centering is ugly.

-Instead of the big logo and unused whitespace on the left, consider a "traditional" layout with the logo/header at the top, and below a navigation and the content.

Sites like reddit.com and stackoverflow.com are a couple of good examples of layouts that might be good for your site.

-Add a "like" button next to each item in your like lists. The more people that "like" stuff on your site the more it spreads.

-Consider removing ads for now.. you aren't making much anyways. Visitor retention and growth is more important than making a quarter a day at this point.

-I don't know your database schema, but add a column for date submitted if you haven't - so in the future you can filter "likes" based on time (for example, if you wanted to show the most popular in the last 24 hours).

-You said you didn't like Google Analytics, but I would reconsider. It offers lots of perspectives on your site and is fairly accurate.

There is a problem with your text navigation on your "all likes" page

Awesome post. Working on some of this now. Your suggestion about the date is actually having me add a few other tables in there right now.. Didn't really think of the future in that regards.

Thanks!

I have checked your site with 4 different sources and 114 was about average. This is nothing personal just stating what I found. I could care less about your website and the traffic it receives.

Well here is a way to test the accuracy of the traffic analyzer. I show

TCAdmin.com Daily unique visitors: 1,012

gameservers.com Daily unique visitors: 2,471

These numbers may fluctuate up and down because they are averages but I think they are accurate.

Anyone showing hit rates for them higher than that.

I have moved the stuff to left align for the time being, and added a specific like to each line. Have also added the date, and a couple other tables for future use.

At the moment, I'm working on a next/previous display for the 'all' page...As it takes fuckin forever to load all the stupid ass fb likes now. So will display like 5 and have next and previous buttons.

I've added google analytics back just for shits and giggles I guess.

This is another learning curve :)

not to worried about the design atm, that will come shortly

Sorry bud. Whatever "tests" your using are absurdly unreliable. I just checked our traffic stats and if your data is spot on then we're pulling in well over 2x the unique traffic then gameservers which I find unlikely.
