Will have the old db migrated to the new one this evening.

 

Some other changes such as a new logo, and a new background will be implemented also this evening. I'll continue to tune this as I did the other, and most likely end up in a v3

 

v2 changes -

 

* the script mostly uses Ajax functions for the built in for tabbed browsing

* added recaptcha, to stop spam and idiots entering the same thing twice accidently.

* cronned script checks for duplicate posts and if it finds the, rejects it

* cronned script sanitizes posts so everything displays properly byebye sql injection.

* changed from /1/ ; /2/ ; /3/ etc to SEO friendly URLS. /eminem-video/

* includes images on post to FB via metadata

* we locally produces html pages for top/recent posts (to avoid excessive database lookups)

* Removed all FBXML, no need for application ID now - No risk of Facebook shutting us off, like last week

 

Note: This project now has another developer working on it aswell. Just so you don't get the impression I learned/created all of this on my own in the past month. I do now have help for the better of the site.

"Your in Like Roulette Mode!" - sounds like a valley girl with bad grammar. "You're in roulette mode!" would be just as good, they already know what site they're on so you don't have to put the awkward "like" in there. Same with "I Like this Do You

haha yeah....call that lorem ipsum adam style All of the wording etc will be redone, I just wanted to get something in there. You can actually still see some of my ad rotator images in there...They are pretty photoshopistic.

Version 2 is live...

 

..Finally got the time to get the database into the new layout of the site...What a cluster fuck that was, now I understand what they mean by going 'overboard' with your tables in the BEGINNING so you have the data even if not using it in the future! haha! Live and learn Thanks again for that date tip daniel! Now time to work on the content a bit, and take into account some of daniel's suggestions.

 

Traffic stalled while I fubard the database, but seems to have picked up right where we left off and is still doing pretty good...It is listed on Alexa now, oddly though its listed in india? Go figure...

 

I'll post more stats later -- Off to meetings atm! Someone asked me to post an update though, so had a moment
