I was just wondering if anyone knows if you can sync more then 1 file server in TCAdmin?

LMK

Thanks!

TMK as long as the file structure is the same regarding how the games and mods and what not are arranged and that they all are zipped or not zipped then yes you should be able to put more than one.

They would not synched at once. You would need to mirror any changes to both of them manually if you wanted to keep them the same.

You would also need to manually change the server that the remote servers are pulling from if one went down.

Best suggestion would be to keep a iso image of the fileserver and a spare box. This would allow you to load a server quickly in case of failure to the main one.

Couldn't and wouldn't it be easier to just put both file servers in TCA and then if one goes down then you can just sync the other one instantly?

waht do u mean? using tca file server and if going down just editing file server settings to point to the backup one ?

would save me a few seconds ye however im not using tca file server (yet).

Using another FTP server so I can upload exe, bat, etc and sync game installs files + their zip remotely (else thats zip only).
