Looking in to SSL

Hey Guys, im looking into SSL certificates, can anyone suggest a good company, iv seen godaddy and 123 reg are they any good, iv been on some sites where the certificate isnt reconised, will this happen with either of them?

 

theres also some that go in to left of the web address? whats the differnce?

We use Godaddy and never had any problem with the SSLs they provided.

I am not sure what you mean by this.

But if you are talking about extended validation which shows the companies name on the right/left of the url it cost more and is called Premium SSL at Godaddy which requires proof of business registration

We do ours for 2 years but i update the cert with a new setup of credentials every 6 months. Most people don't take that into consideration but you are required at least once a year to change your CRT for the SSL. At least to say with PCI compliance and what not....
