Hi,

 

Got a customer who was on his server, someone came on and said want to see a neat trick? -

 

and up till then the server is now not working, it keeps restarting the srcds.exe and keeps spaming..

 

Attempted to create unkown entity type info_ladder!

Can't init info_ladder

 

Any idea?

 

It has DarkRP on it.

They probably rewrote the config file, added a addon, or autorun svn. This is 100% possible with gmod and no way to prevent it. Just to minimize damage from it.

found the problem, they put extra commands in the server.cfg!

tried to make it "read-only" with the permission of your customer of course ?

 

edit : or use something else than server.cfg, i forgot the argument to put in cmd line but its something like -servercfg filename.cfg

Use the configuration editor feature of TCAdmin and shut off the filemanager and FTP.

I doubt hackers use tcadmin access to edit the server.cfg
