cant access ftp

I have a new server running win08 server. I have tcadmin installed, I can install games ect. For some reason the ftp is not

accessable. Does any one a clue here as this is the first time with win08 and this issue.

Most likely you have another FTP service running such as MS FTP.

MS FTP was running. I stopped it and still the same problem. I have win08 on another server but I didn't have any issues with it, Im lost.

Restart the TCAdmin monitor program on that machine. It should be fine after that.

For future reference: Once an FTP service such as MS FTP or any other FTP server is started on port 21, TCAdmin will not be able to initialize its own built in FTP. Basically you cannot have 2 programs running on the same IP and port at the same time.

 

By stopping the MS FTP and restarting the monitor you allowed TCAdmin to bind itself to port 21.

 

Hope this info will help some others in the future.
