Cod2 wont work right!

I installed Call of duty 2 and i am having some problems. I am able to start the server but i can not join the game neither will a map load. Does anyone have any ideas?

Login the remote desktop in console mode and see if there are any errors.

 

 

 

To login as console simply add the /console flag to the end of your remote desktop client connection shortcut.

This is the config we use, and it works fine.

 

 

 

Give it a shot. If not, maybe you are missing some files in your install?

I tried to run it, and i got an error saying server was created but could not be started. Is there a command line i can type in cmd to troubleshoot it?

Login to your panel. Click on the server in question. Then click on service settings. On the right hand side of the page, click on the "Preview" link. at the top of the page it will display the current commandline for that game. Copy the complete commandline and login to your server. Click START>Run and paste the commandline in the space and hit enter. This will attempt to start the server. Any errors will be visible in the console.
