Best Compression Format

Ive noticed with some of the mods for games like garrysmod that the compressed content can take ages to install via tcadmin e.g. (Ep2 2.6gb zip) is there a compression format that tcadmin prefers and will extract faster?

They should all be about the same. RAR seems to be popular with a lot of people. You can also try 7Zip as well. Still .zip format, just a different program to compress the files. And it handles large zip files over 2 gig.

I have found that the normal works fine with .rar. Also the more you compress the file the more CPU it will take to decompress the file on the server box.
