timestamp variable in command line

thats more a request for an update and/or for V2 :

 

ability to add a timestamp variable in cmd line / cmd line builder but also in cfg templates

 

That way we can for exemple set :

-log %day%_%time%.log

giving a result like for exemple

-log 20101027_09H03.log

 

for games like UT based ones that would be helpful, this way every time server gets restarted a new log file gets created (ucc overwrites the log everytime rendering crash troubleshooting impossible for users trying mods/muts etc).

 

Idea came after a customer and more recently in the "pre sales question forum" another guy requested a way to not overwrite / rename logs when server gets restarted.

That would be a V2 addition. However you should be able to run a batch file with the commands in it instead of the executable which should accomplish what you are looking for.

true but I would also lose the command line builder option.
