games that depend on steam

serached everywhere and been pounding my head for hours.

 

I have a game that depends on steam running. I have steam running on the master server . If I created a game using tcadmin the game starts , show up in the game browser but when anyone tries to join it says "steam not running on server" and disconnects the player. If I run the same install from a batch file in the server it self it runs fine. Steam is running on the server and I am looged in becuse two games depend on rdp being left logged in.

 

any help ? by the way game is bloody good time.

yes and it seems to run ok and finds steam servers etc. Strange never seen this before . runs ok if I start in in the box its self but via tcadmin it give taht error

Never mind found the problem . I was starting the server under the system and needed to log in as the user where steam is running .works great

What game are you running? And did you check for dedicated server files for it?
