ECF
I got this link via a google alert and thought I would pass it along to everyone that is currently running Minecraft. I have not used this software nor do we support it in any way shape or form. http://www.minecraftforum.net/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=196285
Brett
Funny you should post this, I am actually improving an application I made a few months ago. I wrote a small .exe daemon to manage Minecraft. This way the start/stop/restart functions in TCAdmin will work with the Minecraft process. Now that we are about to start offering Minecraft, I am working to improve this and add more features. I just started working on the changes a few hours ago, but basically any commands that are sent to the .exe will be passed along to the Minecraft server, and any responses will be read by the .exe If I get this running properly I will probably release it soon. I am wondering though, is there any way for me to setup the RCON functions in TCAdmin to work with this .exe I am building? I would like to allow clients to use their panel to send RCON commands to the server.
ECF
You may want to code a client for it and use it like the server managers that had for BF42 and BFV. Just a thought.
Brett
There are already server manager applications that exist. I was looking more for a way to allow the user to send commands to the application via the game panel. I don't really know much about ASPX but would it be possible to do some sort of custom page for this? I am assuming no since the page would be running on the master, and the daemon application is on a remote, but there might be something I am not thinking of. I suppose an alternative would just be to replicate the source RCON protocol, and then use HalfLife2 as the Game Compatibility. Seems like a ton of work though, so hoping something easier might be possible I am not considering. Are the game compatibilities hard coded or is the code available somewhere that I could possibly add a new one?
trancemode
There's a way to make the minecraft respond to HLSW if you set the port. I'm just not sure which files they are.
Fragnet
Brett, if you get your code to work I would be more than interested! TCA handles MineCraft rather well, but we are missing the possibility to make a clean stop and/or restart.
Brett
I could probably update my Daemon application without too much hassle to issue the save command prior to stopping. I will try and remember to add this soon. I am still beating my face on wether or not I should just design a custom panel for us to offer it (I don't like the existing ones) or keep tinkering with doing some sort of RCON control from TCAdmin. ECF
If it is some simple commands Luis may be able to create a game specific page for Minecraft. I would put in a support ticket with as much info as you can regarding what needs to be sent to the game. Maybe he can create a page for it easily.
