Call of duty 4 - awaiting connection until 9

Hi,

 

As the title says, on my cod 4 servers it doesn't connect until the awaiting connection gets to 9.

 

What could the problem of this be?

Where is the server and where are you playing from?

its the master server, since black ops came out, the master servers have been under stress and keeps going down.

 

the master server is where all the server sends the infomation, you connect to the master server first then the actual server.

 

nothing you can do about it, the master servers do go down every now and again as well.

regarding this problem, would these master server errors be creating "File not found" for mod updates to cod4, if I'm right these updates are straight from the master server?
