I am not the biggest CSS person, but i have a customer saying his server is out of date so i ran the update and it updaed from 47 to 48, but he still says that is is out of date.. so is there somewhere you can go that steam has it listed what the newest version is? cause i run update again nd it tells me it is up2date

Sounds like its up to date to me.

 

 

 

Ask your customer where it is telling him its out of date?

Most likely when he connects the server is telling the client it is out of date.

 

 

 

If you add this to your hldsupdate line

 

 

 

-verify_all

 

 

 

This forces the hldsupdatetool to verify all files in that install, and makes sure they are up to date.

 

 

 

You may also tell your client to log out of STEAM completely, and then log back in. SOmetimes it may be a problem on the client side with their files not updating properly.

 

 

 

If all else fails. Save his configs and reinstall the server from scratch. Then copy his configs back in to his directory.
