Steam Update problem :S

I cannot seem to find a way on how to fix this steam update probelm ive logged into the account on the CP in steam update settings but it does not have a command line and when i try updating a server it just hangs on:

 

Starting the Steam Update...

****Don't close this window. If you close this window the update will still be executed on the server****

 

 

Stopping the game server...

Game server has been stopped.

 

and thats it, ive waited liek 2 hours thinking it might lagg but no :S

 

and another problem im having is linking my ts3 server to the control panel i have been told to download the master server config file i have it but i dont no what to do with it :S any help?

I know for your Steam Update issue with all of the Updates Released recently the Steam Update servers have been bombarded with insane amounts of traffic so updates are taking a lot longer than usual. If you still believe it's taking way longer than it should you can try restarting the monitor of that box or you can go into RDP and kill the hldsupdatetool process.

i have tried restarting the monitor but still no luck =/

 

im like 90% sure its the settings on the CP or Server =/

 

i hope someone can help

 

and btw i fixed the teamspeak issue thanks to the thread on the forums been on the for 3 days with like 3 hours sleep -.- and find some stupid fix for it xD

Did you move hldsupdatetool.exe to the Monitor folder?

 

First install the hldsupdatetool to example : Desktop\hlds , when installation is finished, copy the extracted hldsupdatool.exe to Tcadmin monitor folder.

 

I think that you copied whole exe without first installing it.

more than likely -- this is the common error over the past few years -- why they named the archived file the same as the executable is beyond me -- pretty retarded....

This is what comes up now :S i guess i fixed the updatetool's location but why this error ? :S

woooot got it working! FINALLY! i saw a post like the other day saying remove the commas off "Counter-Strike Source" and i left it liek that for a few days now and when i ran the update it gave me the invalid parameter error and i just put the commas back on and it worked!!!

Whenever your working within command prompt you'll need quotations around anything that you plan on using a space within. That includes specifying a directory or in your case, "Counter-Strike Source."
