SickPuppy
I have played around with the demo and the only advantage I see that V2 offers is the ability to use Linux. I don't see any performance advantage being offered.
LFA
If you only use the basic tcadmin functionality you don't need v2. v2 has these new features: - IIS not required - Reseller packages with custom themes, control panel url, email templates and billing api - scheduler - game monitor and file permissions per game - game templates - built in run as xxx - improved mod installer and config editor - predefined command lines - web console - custom variables that can be set with the billing api - Scheduled reinstall/restart - execute console command before stopping the game service - custom language

LFA
It depends on the game. With Minecraft it sends commands directly to the console like if you typed it from remote desktop or ssh. Other games that don't support sending the command directly use rcon.

I tried using the demo but the server isn't enabled.
LFA
Yes it works great with Minecraft. It streams the console log file and sends commands directly to the console. Also when you stop the service it sends the stop command instead of killing the process so it saves correctly.

I have had clients complain regarding to v1 Minecraft the "stop" button on the game panel basically doesn't send a "stop" and just kills the service (not saving any inventory or chunks). Is there going to be a v1 update for this?
