You could currently do this with a simple script as well. Mod one of the public domain scripts on this site a bit to basically archive up the touched files of a directory and dump the .zip/.rar/.gz into the users home dir. Then simply create a custom link from within the control panel to execute the script. When they click that link in their panel it will execute the script creating the archive and making it available for your customers.

 

You could take it a step further like we do and have it rsync the files offsite as well....This is what we have done for years now.

 

A built in feature would be cool also however :}

Is there a custom link option in TCAdmin 2 now then? Cause I cannot find it.
