It's been a fairly popular thread over on the SD forums but responses have been very infrequent. I don't think they are spending much time on a linux build and I would not expect it to come any time soon if at all. Wouldn't surprise me if it goes the way of BF1943 PC.

Mainstream games seem to be moving towards windows as their hosting platform now.

EA now strictly uses windows as their hosting platform for new games.

 

Even Activision went windows only with MW3. Linux is dying a slow death for game hosting it seems.

Time to kiss goodbye to the 1.5GB of RAM Linux doesn't take up but Windows will.
