FTP Upload of backup gives connection refused

Recommended Posts

Hi there,

As the title says I've tried to setup an automated backup/compress/ftp upload task in the task scheduler. Everything except the FTP works fine. I've tried 3 different ftp servers with different u/name and pw combinations to no avail.

I've also looked at the debug output in the console but I see no info there that would explain the connection being refused. It just says connection refused followed by a load of stack code.

I've tried both ip's and domain names, with and without port numbers.

In short i'm stumped. Has anyone else had this issue?

My master is on a Debian build.

Regards

Maybe your firewall has outbound connections to the ftp server's port blocked? Are you able to make connections with a ftp client yourself from the master server to the ftp server?
