TCAdmin starting a huge amount of zip processes under Ubuntu Server 12.04

TCAdmin seems to occasionally start a bunch of zip processes that bring the server machine's CPU usage up to 100%. I've let these run for a few hours, but they don't seem to finish what they're doing, so I force close them. TCAdmin, however, starts them up again until I close the monitor service.

Any idea what could be causing this?

TCAdmin does not create zip processes. Support for creating and extracting is built in. Something else is creating those processes. If you have custom scripts make sure they are not causing this.

Thanks for the reply! I'll try looking around, but I find it weird that stopping TCAdmin also prevents further zip processes from starting. They also don't appear unless the TCAdmin monitor service is running.

I'll update this thread if I come across a solution.
