What is Better CPU?

Ok So I am building some new Co-Lo boxes for my new games servers however I am stuck on what CPU would be better.

 

Keep in mind im going to have either 16 / 24 / or 32 GB in these. For starters I dont want to put to much ram in the server if I am going to run out of CPU power before the Ram fills up. Going to be running MineCraft (I know it eats ram)

 

3 CPU Options:

Core i7 3770

Xeon E3-1230

Xeon E3-1245v2 (how much better is this honestly is it really worth that much more)

 

I guess really is an i7 better or a Xeon and Why? Also with 16 GB ram if im running CS:GO / Minecraft how many slots on average do you think I could get out of the entire server?

 

*side note on average anyone know how much Bandwidth a fairly popular CSS or other popular game server uses over 30 days?

Xeon E3-1230 isn't a bad one, There is also Xeon E3-1230v2 out now. I have 2 x XEON 5620 which is pretty good.
