Dennis
Hi, A big part of my customers are complaining about their worlds are "rolled back", whenever the server crashes or they stop the server. At first I thought it was just because of a plugin they used, but then more and more started to say the same. Are anyone else experiencing the same problem? DJzz
Have you got the stop command set in Text Console --> Stop Console Commands Stop Console Commands Enter one or more console commands to execute when the service is stopped. On Windows, General Settings > Interact with desktop is required. On Linux, "Control console's input" is required. Some games are not compatible with this option. http://help.tcadmin.com/Text_Console You could even use save-all before stop to be extra sure. Dennis
The stop command is set. However, I just got to speak with a client, and she said their server just rolled back over night (the server hadn't been stopped and is not accessible to others). This has only happened on our Linux server, as far as I'm aware.
LFA
If the minecraft process crashes it is not going to save the world. Your client can configure a scheduled task to runs every few hours that executes the save-all command or install a plugin that does auto saving. If you click on stop or restart it should save the world. You can confirm this by viewing the web console while you execute the stop or restart command. You should see stop the command executing in the console and the messages saying the world was saved.
Dennis
Well, the Minecraft process is not crashing. The server is restarting if the server reaches 115% RAM, which some clients do quite often. But it's still only happening on our Linux server, as far as I'm aware.
LFA
Do you see it saving the world if you restart the service while you have the web console open?
Dennis
Yea, that's the weird part. Every time I restart the service or stop the service, it's doing a "force save" in console.
LFA
If you see it there it is being executed any time the service is restarted. Something else is wrong with the game server.
